Amazon for Groceries

Have you ever shopped for groceries on Amazon? There are deals to be had. For example, if you buy $49 worth of Kashi products during July you can get an instant $20 rebate. Their Cinnamon Harvest cereal, shown here, comes in 6-packs of 17.5-ounce boxes for $24.62. If you bought two 6-packs for $49.24 and then subtract the $20 rebate, that comes to less than $2.50 per box--a pretty good deal compared with grocery store prices. Plus, when you spend $25 or more, shipping is free.

An important key to buying in bulk is to not increase your consumption. Marketing researchers have found that when people buy the large size of many products, they tend to use more of the product per occasion. Another key is to know how much products typically cost in your usual grocery store so you can make accurate per-ounce or per-count comparisons.

“The workshop was a huge benefit to my staff. I have a number of young people (twenty-somethings) and they had more questions than I would have anticipated. Matt did a great job covering everything from budgeting and planning for a mortgage to highlighting our 401K match so they clearly understood the unique benefits of both working at eshots and investing even a small amount now.”
